Be prepared for every CALL TO ACTION on bills for and against public education and for bills about the FIRST COST-OF-LIVING ADJUSTMENT (COLA) for TRS retirees (bus drivers, support staff, counselors, cafeteria staff, custodians, FMO, teachers, librarians, police officers, sign-language interpreters, classroom aides, nurses, administrators, social workers….).in ALMOST 19 YEARS!
It is my hope that CURRENT public-ed employees realize this push for a COLA is for YOUR future retirement, too!

communicate with members of the Texas Legislature. I have included members’
username/handle and linked it for you to easily find the legislators' Twitter pages and follow them. Be sure to
tag members when you want to make sure they get your tweets.

ü I can make assumptions about
every member’s email address, but instead, I would suggest that if a member’s
email is not listed—just to be sure—you click on the member’s name on this list
and send an email through the link on his/her official House page.
ü I am getting a message that House committee members have not been assigned yet. I will post the ones critical to our efforts once the assignments are posted.
